The story of Finlandia Candy begins in Riihikoski, Pöytyä, in the heart of Southwestern Finland. The factory in Riihikoski has a long and respected tradition of confectionery production, dating back to 1967. Over the decades, recipes have been developed and refined here, combining Finnish flavour, quality, and craftsmanship.

The Riihikoski factory has a long tradition of producing liquorice sweets, and it is also where one of our most well-known products is created – Leffamix Original. This colourful and versatile mix of fruit and liquorice sweets has secured its place in many Finnish treat moments, whether it's a movie night, celebration, or a little boost to everyday life.

In 2016, the story took a new turn when the Suomussalmi factory became part of Finlandia Candy. Like in Riihikoski, the production of sweets in Suomussalmi has deep roots and strong expertise. We produce various types of marmalade, fruit, and liquorice sweets at both of our factories. 

The special expertise of the Suomussalmi factory lies in chocolate-coated sweets and pressed pastilles. Perhaps our most famous products made in Suomussalmi are the Pohjanmaa pastilles, which hold their own iconic place in the history of Finnish sweets and have delighted those with a sweet tooth for decades.

Finlandia Candy is above all a continuer of Finnish confectionery traditions. We combine decades of experience, high-quality raw materials, and the curiosity to develop new flavour experiences.
